The 5500SD uses the same bearings as the 4500SS and I ordered two sets. They came in with the center hole too small due to variance in the bearings used by Penn between models. I contacted fast Eddie's and they sent the correct ones for my reels no questions asked. Awesome bearings and company
I ordered a bearing kit for my Penn fishing reel. The size that came was not right. The bearings that come in this kit are 4mm X 16mm X 5mm (ID X OD X Width). I needed 8mm X 16mm X 5mm.
I call customer support and Ed explained that Penn changes bearing sizes from year to year and doesn't change the part number. Once I got him the dimensions of the bearing I needed, he sent it right away, free of charge. It arrived very quickly. I wish all companies had customer service like this.
I received my order but the bearings didn’t fit my penn 4500ss. Fast Eddy responded to my problem by sending the right bearings next day. Will definitely use Fast Eddy’s bearings again.
