These bearings are a great value and they give you the option of leaving the seals on both sides of both bearings if you choose to do so. I've used this method with my OS160 beatings in my Pattern planes and the bearings are still good after hundreds of flights. For the smaller engines, I remove both seals from the large bearing and one from the small bearing (seal stays on the side that's behind the prop flange). That works well too as long as you don't forget to put after-run oil in after every flying session. Add an extra dose before you put things away for the off-season too.
